Tuition Assistance at KHA

The KHA Scholarship Tuition Assistance Fund provides for the students in need of financial support. For this school year a scholarship of $900 per student ($75 per month) helps cover costs such as three meals a day, dorm accommodations, our hands-on curriculum, school supplies, and extracurricular activities.

Our goal in this school year is to provide 365 scholarships for the KHA Scholarship Tuition Assistance Fund.

Creating New Business

The Small Business Campaign invests in entrepreneurial women to start small new businesses in Boneza, enabling sustainable businesses within the community. Our locally-hosted micro-finance groups provide education around financial savings and empower locals to become entrepreneurs. The startup capital for a small new business in Boneza is $300. This is paid back and then given to another entrepreneur to start a business. The repayment rate for these loans are 98%-100% as the loan recipients know there is always someone else waiting in the line. We currently serve 3,000 women with this program.

Your donation enables a woman to start a small business through the Arise Rwanda Microloan/Finance program. Examples of small local businesses women have started are fishing, sewing, running small grocery stores and restaurants, and poultry farms.

Housing Needs

The need for housing in the Boneza community is overwhelming. It costs about $10,000 to build a small three-bedroom house for a poor family, widow or orphan in Boneza. We have a goal of building 5 homes for locals in need in 2025 and 2026. We encourage your support through donations and mission trip teams, which we'd be happy to help you coordinate.
