Clenia, an Aspiring IT Engineer at KHA
Clenia is a 16-year-old student at Kivu Hills Academy (KHA) who lives in Boneza, about a three-hour walk from the school. Her journey to KHA is nothing short of a miracle, and she attributes it to God’s mercy and the generosity of Arise Rwanda Ministries.
“I was selected by the Arise Rwanda sponsorship team because my family is among the neediest in our region, and I don’t take this for granted,” Clenia shares. Her family lives on just $2 a day, making it impossible to afford school fees for her or her siblings. Before receiving her scholarship, Clenia was on the verge of dropping out of school to work on her neighbors’ farms to help support her family.
Now, thanks to the scholarship, Clenia’s dreams are alive. She is determined to work hard, become an IT engineer, and build a better life not only for herself but also for those in need. “I want to give back,” she says with conviction. Her goal is to one day support the poor, just as she has been supported by Arise Rwanda.
Studying at Kivu Hills Academy has been a life-changing opportunity for Clenia. She feels deeply grateful to the donors who have invested in her education, giving her hope and a chance to succeed. “I am so thankful to Arise Rwanda and the donors who have given me this life-changing opportunity to go to school,” she says. “Kindly continue to support my education through Arise Rwanda,” she pleads, knowing the impact this generosity can have on other students like her.
Clenia’s story is one of resilience, gratitude, and hope. With the foundation she is building at KHA, she is determined to create a brighter future for herself and her community.
