Greetings, I’m Jean Claude!
Hello from Boneza, Rwanda! My name is Jean Claude and I’m a masonry student at Kivu Hills Academy (KHA). Besides studying, I also enjoy extra-curriculum activities at school like playing volleyball, and learning about carpentry and welding. My friends and I fix chairs, windows, and doors around the school campus when they are broken. My dream is to start a welding business and workshop in Boneza.
I live with both my parents and 4 siblings in the community of Boneza. My family are farmers. We own a small piece of land where we grow vegetables, beans, potatoes and coffee. Our father works as a porter on construction sites around Boneza. However, since the pandemic began, it’s been difficult for him to find work. As a result, we are struggling and living on $1 a day. I am blessed to continue my education at KHA because of generous donations towards my tuition.
I ask you to prayerfully consider partnering with Arise Rwanda by donating to education and allowing other students to continue their studies. Thank you!
