Our Programs
Dedicated to Boneza, RwandaEducation
Our first mission was to provide a preschool education and a feeding program for the most impoverished children in the villages. This vision has expanded to provide a post-eighth-grade education for academic and vocational skills training for the community. This school will also be a multi-generational educational facility providing skill development for learners of all ages. The ultimate goal is to cultivate future teachers and leaders for the community and the country.
Clean Water
Clean water is an essential cornerstone of our mission. Since 2012, we’ve drilled 10 clean water wells in the villages of Boneza. Each well provides clean water to at least 500 people who no longer have to hike to a stream or lake to retrieve their daily supply, which is often dirty and disease infested. Access to this essential resource makes a huge difference in the area.
Healthcare
To help meet the medical needs of the Boneza community, our healthcare program provides sustainable and holistic medical care, meets urgent care needs, and provides supplies and medicine. We are currently in the process of constructing the Kivu Hills Medical Center, the first hospital in the region. This hospital will provide services to millions of people in the region.
Pastoral Outreach
Our Pastoral Outreach program equips, encourages, and empowers local leaders by providing Biblical conferences and classes, and economic support through micro-loans and business training. Arise Rwanda continues to increase Pastoral care efforts through social services outreach to families and children.
Economic Development
We have embraced the entire community in support of the leaders and individuals. We believe that through community development and support for local entrepreneurs, a sustainable foundation will be built, fostering personal ownership and community pride. Financial savings groups are ongoing and businesses continue to develop and support the local economy.
